Cosmetic packaging is the printed carton, rigid box or mailer around a bottle, jar, tube or palette. Most skincare and makeup brands start with a folding carton because it holds a bottle snugly and prints edge to edge.
The catch is the product inside. A pump bottle is widest at the pump, a palette has a hinge, and a glass dropper needs an insert. Measure the product at its widest point before you pick a box.

Cartons sized to your bottle or jar, with room for ingredients and batch codes.
Tall cartons with a snug insert for the bottle. Foil and embossing earn their keep here.
Tuck-end cartons for the shelf. Ship flat, fold in seconds, print edge to edge.
Two-piece lid and base boxes in wrapped greyboard. The box people keep on a shelf.
Self-locking corrugated boxes that ship without an outer carton and open like a lid.
Rigid lid-and-base and magnetic gift boxes, printed with your logo and cut to hold the set.
Guide 1
Serums, creams and droppers go in a folding carton with a paperboard insert. It ships flat, folds in seconds and costs the least per unit.
Lipstick and gloss suit a small tuck-end carton or a sleeve. Both are quick to fill by hand.
Perfume and gift sets are where a rigid box earns its cost. The weight tells the buyer what the product is priced at.
Online orders need a mailer, because a carton on its own is too thin for a delivery truck. Print the inside of the lid, since that is what gets filmed.
Guide 2
Most beauty boxes need one finish, not four. Foil or a deboss on the logo is usually enough, and aqueous coating protects the box by default.
Soft-touch lamination feels good but adds a plastic layer. If plastic-free matters to your brand, leave it off.
Honest fit
Best value starts at 50 boxes. For fewer we can consider it, but a stock box with a printed label may cost you less. If you need boxes in under 10–12 days, buy stock now and switch to custom for the next run. We don't supply the bottles or jars themselves, only the boxes around them.
FAQ
A folding carton with an insert for a single bottle or jar, and a rigid box for a gift set. Send the product's height and widest point and we draw the structure around it.
Yes. Best value starts at 50 units per design, because of logistics and shipping, and that is enough to test a box with real customers. If you need fewer, tell us: we can consider smaller orders.
In the US the FDA sets labeling rules for cosmetics. Your box is often where the ingredient list and net quantity go, so check the FDA cosmetics labeling guide and send the text with your artwork.
Yes. Paperboard, kraft and corrugated boxes with aqueous coating are 100% recyclable. Lamination and window film add plastic, so skip them if that matters.
Send the inside dimensions of your product and a quantity. We reply with a structure, and structural design is $0.
